Investing In Our Communities
We have been a valued member of the community for more than 125 years. As neighborhoods grew, new businesses opened and schools were built, Edison International stood alongside as a proud partner. Now, in the 21st century, we aim to continue the tradition of helping our communities grow and thrive.
A proud tradition of offering a hand up has evolved as our communities continue to grow. In an effort to remain a collaborative partner to the community, we have expanded our focus to include four areas where we aim to make the strongest impact. We stand in partnership with our communities and want to bring value through employee engagement and corporate support. As a result, we have chosen to invest in Education, Environment, Civic and Public Safety/Preparedness. See our 2012 Community Giving Report (pdf).

2014 Community Grants Funding Cycles
Community Grant Funding Cycle 1 Is Now Open
Edison International accepts online applications for our 2014 Community Grants Funding Cycles as scheduled below:
* Please be advised that the start and end times for the present and future Funding Cycles will be as follows: Start times will commence at 8 A.M. the first day of the funding cycle and close at 5 P.M. the final day of the funding cycle.
We contribute in many ways, including grant funding, volunteerism, and board service to local nonprofits. In 2012, our company invested over $19 million* in communities where we all live and work. Through the generosity of our employees, many participated in our workplace giving campaign, the matching gifts program and volunteer activities.
*Edison International’s support of charitable causes is funded entirely by Edison International shareholders. The company’s community donations are part of its commitment as a leading corporate citizen. Southern California Edison (SCE) customers’ utility bill payments do not fund company donations.
