- An entity that takes title to electric power generated by another entity, and sells that power. A power marketer may or may not be affiliated with a traditional electric utility.

- A source of revenue based on the efficiency/inefficiency of customer equipment.
- Primary Lines
- High-voltage lines (4 kV, 6.9 W 12 kV, 16 kV, etc.) used to carry power from the substation to the immediate area to be transformed to lower voltages for individual customers.
- Prime Mover
- An engine, turbine, or water wheel that drives or operates an electric generator.
- Purchased Power
- Power purchased from other utilities.
