Edison International: Making a Difference in the Community for Nearly 130 Years

We’re committed to giving back, and have been for well over a century. Our philanthropy is focused in ways that address important issues like education, the environment, public safety & emergency preparedness, and civic engagement. Last year, we gave $20 million to community programs that make a difference in these particular areas, along with $1.2 million in STEM scholarships to help students earn degrees and contribute to future innovation.

Overall, more than two-thirds of our giving help underserved populations, including diverse ethnic groups, seniors, people with disabilities, women, gay and lesbian populations, and low-income families.

Our 2014 Community Investment Report

Our annual Community Investment Report, Power in Partnerships, offers a snapshot of the variety of partners we support, and the impact being made by these partnerships. The stories shared here highlight some of the very outstanding work our community partners are doing to improve the quality of life in the community.

At Edison International, we believe that our role goes beyond our core mission of safely providing reliable and affordable electricity. We believe we have a common mission with the communities we serve.
