Encouraging Employees to Give Back & Volunteer in the Community
Charitable giving is an ingrained, important part of the culture at Edison International, and we encourage everyone on the team to give back. Whether they choose to volunteer, fundraise or donate – it’s all good with us. And we offer incentives to boost the impact of each employee’s giving, like dollar-for-dollar matching funds, volunteer-incentive grants, and organized volunteer opportunities.
Philanthropy in Action: Employees Raise $33,000+ for UNCF
More than 200 Edison employees particpated in the 32nd Annual UNCF Walk for Education, and raised $33,227 to support UNCF, one of the nation's largest and most effective minority education organizations.
The effort was led by employees at our utility, Southern California Edison, who participate in the Employee Resource Group called the Networkers.
Whether they’re tutoring children, cleaning parks and beaches, or feeding the homeless, our employees can be found throughout the community, wearing their green Edison International volunteer t-shirts.
Employee Giving Programs at Edison International
Those who give back in their communities are more engaged and satisfied both at home and at work. Our employee giving programs are designed to encourage everyone to get involved and give back.
We match donations our employees make to accredited educational institutions on a dollar-for-dollar basis up to $2,000 annually.
Volunteer Incentive Grants
Our volunteer incentive grants recognize employees for their commitment to the community, and let the employee choose a favorite charity to receive the funds.
