Senior Vice President, Transmission and Distribution

Peter Dietrich is senior vice president of the Transmission and Distribution organization at Southern California Edison (SCE), responsible for the operation and maintenance of SCE’s electrical grid across a 50,000 square-mile service area.
Prior to his current role, Dietrich was senior vice president and chief nuclear officer, responsible for overseeing SCE’s nuclear business at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
Prior to joining SCE, he was Entergy’s site vice president of Nuclear Operations for the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant in New York. In that role, he was responsible for overall safe, predictable and reliable operation of the facility, as well as strategic planning, integration and oversight of plant operations and business services.
Previously, Dietrich served as general manager of plant operations at Entergy’s Pilgrim Nuclear Station in Massachusetts.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in naval architecture from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s degree in business administration from Tulane University. Dietrich also served in the U.S. Navy Surface Nuclear Power Program.
