Peter Dietrich is senior vice president for Southern California Edison (SCE). Pete was previously the chief nuclear officer for SCE, responsible for overseeing SCE’s nuclear business at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. He is working currently with David Mead, senior vice president, Transmission and Distribution at SCE, and will transition into that role at the beginning of the second quarter of 2014.
Prior to joining SCE, he was Entergy’s site vice president of Nuclear Operations for the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant in New York. In that role, he was responsible for overall safe, predictable and reliable operation of the facility, as well as strategic planning, integration and oversight of plant operations and business services.
Previously, Dietrich served as general manager of plant operations at Entergy’s Pilgrim Nuclear Station in Massachusetts.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in naval architecture from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s degree in business administration from Tulane University. Dietrich also served in the U.S. Navy Surface Nuclear Power Program.
