Vice President, Power Production

Enrique (Henry) Martinez is vice president of Power Production for Southern California Edison (SCE). He is responsible for operating and maintaining the power production assets of the company, which include hydro, combustion turbine, combined cycle gas turbine, commercial rooftop solar and fuel cell facilities.
Prior to his current position, Martinez was vice president, Safety, Security and Compliance at SCE where he was responsible for overseeing safety, security and compliance functions at the utility company. His previous roles include serving as director of Strategic Planning at Edison International, the parent company of SCE. He also served as director of Grid Operations at SCE, responsible for executing the daily reliable delivery of energy to customers, as well as leading emergency system and local energy restoration during and following major disturbance events.
Martinez has more than 36 years of experience in the utility sector, working for three large investor, federal and municipality owned utilities, having served in technical and senior leadership roles at all three utilities.
Martinez serves on the Leadership Council for the School of Engineering and Computer Science at California State University, Fullerton, and he is a member of the board of directors of Generation Water.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Fullerton and an Executive MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
