On December 17, 2012, Edison Mission Energy (EME) filed for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. EME will be deconsolidated from Edison International (EIX) as of the filing date and EIX expects to report the results of EME as Discontinued Operations for current and prior periods. EIX has reached an agreement with EME and a majority of its noteholders that would transition EIX's ownership to EME's creditors upon approval of a plan of reorganization by the Bankruptcy Court.
Going forward, www.edisoninvestor.com and the Edison International website will not contain updated information on EME.
