Andrea Wood is vice president of Tax for Southern California Edison (SCE) and its parent company Edison International. She is responsible for oversight of all tax functions at the companies, including audits and appeals, tax planning, disclosures, ratemaking and tax legislation.
Prior to her current role, Wood was vice president of Tax at the Edison Mission Energy (EME) Reorganization Trust from April of 2014 to August of 2016, where she was responsible for tax accounting, including compliance activities such as filing tax returns, closing audits and preparation of annual beneficiary statements. Wood joined EME in 2008 when it was an Edison International subsidiary, serving as vice president of Tax.
Before joining Edison, Wood was director of Tax Planning at Energy Future Holdings, formerly TXU Corporation. She also held positions in tax planning at Agere Systems, Inc., Lucent Technologies and Mobil Corporation. Wood started her career at Ernst & Young.
Wood earned both a bachelor’s of business administration degree in accounting and a master’s of science degree in taxation from Texas Tech University. She is a certified public accountant in Texas.
