Hannah Badrei is senior vice president of Global Energy Advisory at Trio, formerly Edison Energy. She leads all advisory services including clean energy, power and gas supply procurement, transportation electrification, distributed energy resources and energy optimization across the U.S., Mexico, Canada and Europe.
Badrei brings over two decades of energy commodities experience in the power and renewables sectors, with expertise spanning go-to-market strategy development, origination, deal structuring and execution.
Before joining Edison Energy, now Trio, Badrei was vice president of Power & Renewables Origination at Shell Energy, where she was responsible for commercial and industrial origination and led the launch of the company’s off-site renewables platform. Before that, she managed commercial and analytics teams at Boston Consulting Group and Calpine Corporation. Badrei began her career in quantitative analysis, holding roles in risk management and energy procurement at Pacific Gas & Electric.
Badrei previously chaired the Houston chapter of WRISE (Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy) and remains active at the national level. She is an advocate of women entering and achieving leadership roles in the renewable energy and sustainability sectors.
Badrei earned a Ph.D. and M.S. from Rice University in computational finance. She earned her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Cullen College of Engineering, University of Houston.
