Jay B. Zoellner

President and Chief Executive Officer, Edison Energy

Jay Zoellner is president and chief executive officer of Edison Energy, an independent advisory company for commercial and industrial energy users, delivering comprehensive, data driven, and integrated energy solutions. Zoellner is responsible for helping large commercial and industrial customers manage energy costs and risks to create competitive advantage and protect shareholder value.

Zoellner has over 30 years of management experience in the energy and energy efficiency fields, including 10 years as the co-founder and chief executive officer of a startup that successfully developed and commercialized one of the first real-time software-as-a-service energy platforms for commercial and industrial enterprises.

He has served as an invited panel member at multiple events including the California PUC’s Diversifying California’s Green Economy Forum, discussing the impact of California’s AB 32 climate change legislation. Zoellner often speaks at industry and trade conferences on energy efficiency and sustainability.

Zoellner’s business experience includes executive management, board director, company finance, P&L management and sales. His technical experience includes the development, design, construction, operation, ownership, project finance and management of all forms of energy in the commercial and industrial sectors including renewable generation, transmission, distribution, controls, efficiency, software intelligence and program management.

He has successfully deployed enterprise energy programs for commercial, aerospace, medical device manufacturing, food and beverage, cold storage, metals, mining, plastics, chemical manufacturing, agricultural, cheese and dairy, and utility enterprises.

Zoellner received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Idaho and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy in the Nuclear Submarine Service.
