Kara Ryan is vice president, chief accounting officer and controller for Edison International and Southern California Edison. Ryan is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of Edison’s accounting, financial reporting and governance of internal controls. She supports our financial management and stakeholder engagement in the development and execution of SCE’s revenue and cost-recovery regulatory strategies.

As a key member of the Finance senior leadership, she ensures strong financial management and fiscal integrity while driving continuous improvement throughout our organization.

Before joining Edison, Ryan served as vice president and chief accounting officer at CenterPoint Energy based in Houston.

She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s in management information systems. She also is a certified public accountant.
