What should I do if I have lost my stock certificates or if they were stolen?
Send a signed request to EQ stating the certificate numbers that are lost or stolen, and request stops to be placed on the certificate(s). Include pertinent information to help them locate your account such as your name, account number or social security number. EQ will send certificate replacement paperwork to you. There will be a fee of approximately 3% of the market value of the lost certificate(s) to obtain an indemnity bond from a Surety, which is necessary to replace the lost or stolen certificate(s).

I haven't received or I have lost my dividend check in the mail. Can I get a replacement?
If you have not received your dividend check within 7-10 business days of the payment date, or have misplaced the check or believe it was lost in the mail, call EQ at 1 (800) 347-8625 and request a replacement. A stop payment will be placed on the lost check and a replacement will be sent to you. This process also includes dividend checks, which have cashing dates that have expired.

Have there been any name changes or mergers in the company's history?
  • California Electric Power Company merged with and into Southern California Edison Company as of January 1, 1964. Each share of Calectric Common Stock was exchanged for .95 of a share of Edison Common Stock. (i.e.: 100 shares Calectric = 95 shares Edison).
  • Southern California Edison Common Stock automatically became SCEcorp Common Stock on July 1, 1988. No action is required by shareowners. Any shares you own whether you or your broker hold the actual certificates, became fully valid common shares of SCEcorp. Please do not surrender your existing stock certificate for certificates of the holding company. 
  • SCEcorp Common Stock automatically became Edison International Common Stock and began trading under the symbol "EIX" on February 5, 1996. No action is required by the shareowner. Any shares you own whether you or your broker hold the actual certificates, are fully valid common shares of Edison International. Please do not surrender your existing stock certificate for certificates of Edison International stock.
