Leanne Swanson is vice president of Vegetation, Inspections & Contractor Operations (VICO).

In this role, Swanson leads Southern California Edison’s vegetation management, inspection and contractor operations programs. These critical functions support SCE’s mission of safely delivering reliable and affordable power to our customers and play an essential role in wildfire risk mitigation, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Swanson has over 25 years of leadership, operations and engineering experience at SCE, strengthening the safety, reliability and resilience of the company’s distribution design and construction. Before her current role, she served as director of Distribution Construction Operations, held several engineering and leadership roles, and demonstrated a deep, consistent commitment to safety throughout her tenure — earning recognition as a respected industry thought leader. She has also served as an incident commander on several Incident Management Team (IMT) activations.

Swanson serves on the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies (AEIC) Safety Subcommittee, Western Energy Institute and chairs the Women in Science and Engineering Program at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona).

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and is a registered professional engineer in California.
