Raj Roy

Vice President, Transmission, Substation & Operations
Southern California Edison
Raj Roy is vice president of Transmission, Substations & Operations in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) organization at Southern California Edison. He is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of SCE’s electric system, including grid operations, substation and transmission construction and maintenance.
In 2003, Raj began his journey with SCE as an intern in T&D and joined the Energy Procurement & Management team full time in 2006. He has held various leadership positions across multiple technical and operational teams including T&D and System Planning & Engineering.

In his prior role, Roy was director of Transmission where he was responsible for the construction and maintenance of SCE’s transmission system and facilities, including safety leadership for hundreds of employees working in high-hazard areas. He has also been director of Wildfire Safety, playing a pivotal role in developing SCE’s Wildfire Mitigation Plan.

Raj holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Harvey Mudd College and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California. He has participated in several high-potential programs including the University of Idaho Executive Program, CERAWeek’s Future Energy Leaders Program and Edison’s Executive Edge.
