Last year, we contributed $23 million in funding to support programs that help communities in our service territory shine bright while tackling tough issues, such as improving air quality, increasing access to national parks, and helping kids make a difference in the world by studying science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
More than 90% of our giving helps underserved residents, including diverse ethnic groups, seniors, people with disabilities, women, gay and lesbian populations, and low-income families.

Edison Scholars awards high school seniors with $40,000 scholarships to help them make a difference in the world by studying science, technology, engineering or math in college. Since 2006, we’ve awarded more than $9.9 million in scholarships to 640 students through this program.
